D'après la dernière étude Pew Internet ( PDF ), 65 % des internautes adultes aux États-Unis utilisent un réseau social comme
Facebook, MySpace ou LinkedIn. Une progression de seulement quatre points par rapport à la même période il y a un an.
Néanmoins, il s'agit d'un cap symbolique puisque ramené à l'échelle de la population américaine et non plus seulement la population internaute, c'est la première fois que pour une étude Pew
Internet on peut observer que la moitié des adultes américains utilisent des réseaux sociaux.
Pour mettre en perspective ce chiffre, Pew Internet souligne qu'en février 2005, les réseaux sociaux attiraient 8 % des internautes adultes, soit à l'époque 5 % de la population adulte aux
États-Unis. L'email et les moteurs de recherche sont les seuls à être plus souvent utilisés que les réseaux sociaux.
Aux USA, les femmes utilisent plus les réseaux sociaux que les hommes ( 69 % contre 60 % ). La tranche d'âge la plus représentée se retrouve
chez les 18-29 ans ( 89 % ) puis les 30-49 ans ( 70 % ) et les 50-64 ans ( 51 % ). Les 65 ans et plus sont 33 %.
Pour l'expérience liée à l'utilisation des réseaux sociaux, le mot qui revient le plus souvent est " bonne ". Une connotation tout à fait positive donc.

For almost all the mobile OS present around, website URLs can be pushed to the phone using a 3rd party application over the internet such as Chrome to Phone for android etc. But sending text chunks directly without a data connection is not possible. The easiest way I knew till now was to save it in a
file and then transfer it to my phone; not being an quick one.
GrabText, a small extension for google chrome does this job of sending text to your phone in 3 quick steps:
- Select the text you wish to send (250 characters at max)
- Click on the GrabText icon present in the toolbar, it will generate a QR code
- Scan the code on your phone!
I don’t have much idea about QR code scanners for iOS and other mobile OS but for Android, Barcode Scanner is an app that I like using for this purpose.
It could be useful in cases when you do not have any data connection. A good example would be my case. I'm currently living in an area where internet connectivity is pathetic, blame the terrain
for it.

El botón “Me gusta” de Facebook es uno de los más extendidos por toda la web. Sin embargo, Facebook nos lo quiere poner aún más fácil y ha sacado una extensión para
Chrome que nos permite pulsar el conocido botoncito en cualquier página.
La extensión nos añade un icono en la barra de herramientas que nos muestra el número de “Me gusta” que ha recibido la página en la que nos encontramos. Pinchando en él, nos aparecerá un globo
donde podremos dar nuestro voto de favor y, posteriormente, añadir un comentario.
También nos añade una entrada en el menú contextual que nos amplía las acciones que podemos realizar. Desde allí podemos también dar el “Me gusta”, recomendar la página o
compartirla. Para esto último se nos abrirá una ventana desde donde podremos añadir un comentario y decidir el destino de lo que compartimos: nuestro muro (y quien de nuestros amigos), un grupo o
una página.
Si sois usuarios habituales de Facebook y de Chrome, se trata de una extensión muy recomendable que nos facilita poder compartir contenidos en la conocida red social. Aunque ya hay extensiones
similares, hay que considerar que ésta ha sido desarrollada por el propio Facebook.

Google+ han anunciado cambios interesantes, y además hemos aprovechado para repasar un par de casos de estudio de cómo una buena campaña puede tener una gran repercusión. Comenzamos nuestro
resumen semanal:
- Semanita de novedades en Facebook. Entre otras cosas, os comentamos que esta red social cerró Deals, su apartado
dedicado a ofertas al más puro estilo Groupon. También destacamos la recompensa que Facebook ofrece a sus usuarios
por detectar fallos en su plataforma.

Tumblr no suele dar mucho que hablar, pero esta semana está de celebración: han llegado a los 13 millones de usuarios únicos en Estados
